Developed in response to customer demand, the new box format expands Box Genie’s options for custom branded product packaging.
-- Box Genie, a custom packaging company based in Kansas City, Missouri, is introducing its new Custom Product Box for eCommerce, retail and gifting. The addition expands the company’s packaging lineup, giving brands another box style they can customize to fit their products and company branding.
The launch follows feedback from customers who previously ordered boxes from the company. When Box Genie surveyed those customers, the Product Box was the most-requested new box type it did not yet offer.
The Product Box features an upright, tuck-top format with custom sizing to protect and showcase individual products, including candles, cosmetic jars, drinkware and supplements. The format gives brands another packaging option for retail shelves, gift sets, subscription boxes and eCommerce.
“We asked existing customers which box types they wanted us to add, and the Product Box was the top request,” said Sean Doherty, General Manager at Box Genie. “That feedback gave us a clear reason to expand the product lineup. We wanted to give customers another choice while keeping the sizing, artwork and ordering flexibility they already use with Box Genie.”
Brands can tailor their custom product packaging by selecting length, width, height, paper type and printed sides. Full-color printing is available on the outside, inside or both, allowing artwork and branding to extend to the interior of the box.
Customers can create their artwork in Box Genie’s existing online 3D Design Studio before checkout, or design in software such as Adobe Illustrator or Canva and submit artwork after placing an order. Properly sized blank templates are available to download in PDF or SVG format for customers designing externally.
Orders start at 100 units, giving brands an option for smaller runs, product launches, PR campaigns and limited releases. Pricing decreases at larger order volumes, allowing customers to select a quantity that fits the scale of their project with no maximum limitations, allowing companies to scale with Box Genie from 100 to 1,000,000+ piece orders.
Box Genie produces its boxes in Kansas City using 100% American-made materials. For eligible orders, production turnaround is 10 to 12 business days after artwork approval. The company also uses recyclable corrugated materials containing recycled content, along with water-based inks.
